Hi, I am Patty –
a licensed architect with over a decade of experience in crafting considered and contextual design solutions.
I began my career at New York City-based Resolution: 4 Architecture, a small rigorous practice recognized for rekindling public enthusiasm for prefabrication. Steeped in this systematic design methodology, I gained a deep appreciation for the intricacies of domestic space both rural and urban.
In 2014, I moved to Portland to broaden my creative & technical skills at ZGF Architects. Working on projects in far-flung locations galvanized my desire to see more of this world so in 2017 I headed to Southeast Asia for an extended period of travel. From remote villages to dense urban centers I reveled in the variety of human experience, and in the persistent empathy bridging that difference.
Returning to Oregon with a deep sense of connection to nature and urge for hands-on creation, I worked with my partner to build an addition/renovation to a lake house dwelling. Meanwhile, my work on retail flagship stores with Heliotrope Architects was a perfect complement to learning wood joinery & designing with reclaimed heavy timber - followed by a focus on tactile, timeless hospitality interiors with JHL Design.
Lately as a Freelance Architect my focus is single-family residential design, where I am passionate about seeking elegant yet practical solutions, delivered with attentive & thoughtful collaboration. Let's connect to discuss your Portland remodel, weekend cabin retreat, or latest maker pursuit.
