Olivebridge House
2,750 SF modular prefab home
Catskills, NY | 2012
This house was composed of 5 factory-built modules, set on a site-built foundation. The T-shaped bridge typology on this mountainside location provides a sense of arrival via protected views from the porte-cochère. An open plan kitchen-dining-living space is the heart of the home, projecting into the landscape. The upper bar provides views from all the bedrooms and office/play space.
As sole architectural staff on this project with guidance from firm principals from schematic design through completion, my responsibilities included 3D modeling, structural & mechanical coordination, construction documents, bidding negotiation, site visits to modular factory & house site, issuing sketches and furniture selection.
